What are MOEs?

You will be invited to participate in a variety of activities  including gentle movement, guided breathing, sensory activities, mindful walking, nature meditation, and a group share. You'll leave feeling connected to yourself and the land, revitalized by nature's healing power, and rejuvenated with inner peace and a grounded spirit.

MOEs are flexible, ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours, and welcome everyone, regardless of age or experience. Blankets and seat cushions provided, so all you need is an open mind and a willingness to experience something new!

What to Expect

As an Ely local, I'm intimately familiar with the area's most beautiful and serene locations. Our MOEs take place in various natural settings in and around Ely, including serene forest environments, secluded trails, and peaceful lakeshores. These carefully selected spots offer the perfect backdrop for deep connection with nature. Participants typically meet at a designated location in Ely, which will be communicated prior to the session. From there, we may carpool or take a short walk to our chosen site. Each session unfolds with a gentle rhythm, allowing you to move from everyday busyness into full presence. While every experience is unique, a typical session includes:

Setting the Scene

We start by selecting a natural space that resonates with the group or individual. Upon arrival, we take a moment to observe our surroundings, set intentions, and reflect on the area's rich history, fostering a deeper connection to the land.

Grounding Warm-Up

Gentle movements such as hip circles, stretching, or deep breathing exercises to release tension and settle into the experience.

Mindful Walking

A slow, intentional walk, engaging all senses—feeling the earth beneath your feet, listening to the sounds around you, noticing subtle details in nature.

Immersion in the Present Moment

A guided practice of tuning into one or two senses at a time, fostering a sense of wonder and calm.

Nature Meditation

Seated in stillness, observing the natural world as a form of mindfulness, allowing the sounds and sensations of nature to guide awareness.

Reflection & Closing

The reflection and closing segment provides a thoughtful space to write or share insights, fostering a deeper connection between the experience and your daily life. To enhance this process, we can also incorporate tea, a light healthy lunch or natural snacks, creating a nourishing and contemplative conclusion to our time together.
